Prof. Bruce Bueno de Mesquita (March, 2014)
Bruce Bueno de Mesquita is the Julius Silver Professor of Political Science at New York University and Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution (1986-present). Professor Bueno de Mesquita is the author of 17 books including The Dictator's Handbook: Why Bad Behavior is Almost Always Good Politics (2012) with Alastair Smith, The Predictioneer's Game: Using the Logic of Brazen Self-Interest to See and Shape the Future (2010), The Logic of Political Survival (2003) with Alastair Smith, Randolph Siverson and James Morrow, the The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge (2001) and the War Trap (1983).
Professor Bueno de Mesquita is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Peace Science Society and the Council on Foreign Relations. Among numerous awards, he is the winner of the Dag Hammarskjold Memorial Award, the Karl Deutsch Award in International Relations and Peace Research and has been a Guggenheim Fellow.
